Idaho Falls

We spent the weekend in Idaho Falls. We stayed in the Red Lion Hotel on the falls (they are noisy, but pretty!)


Joe had a seminar, and I shopped, napped and read while he was in class. Tough weekend. Always nice to get away, have a change of pace and relax.


The weather was nice!



We had a great view of the temple from our hotel window :)



On Saturday afternoon, we drove up to the Teton Dam (what remains anyway). The dam broke after only one year of operation in 1976.



It was really interesting to see the area, which is absolutely beautiful, and read about what happened.



It was kinda eerie thinking about it while we were there. We heard there were two men fishing on the river when it broke. They found a leak about 7or 8 am, tried to stop it, but were unsuccessful. By noon it broke, and by 8 pm, it was completely drained.
